Broadway Arts Grand Opening Night

After months and months of hard work by Broadway Arts owners Joe & Liz along with the rest of their team, August 6th had finally arrived.. the GRAND OPENING! On display was artwork by IAM2ND, BoogieREZ, Nicholas Bach, Tyler Bouchert, and myself, along with a one painting guest appearance by Whitney Luedtke, and live performances by the Future4, Ramona Lane, and Radamiz

Boogie burning the preshow setup midnight oil working on her mural while REZ sneaks some shots and I sneak some shots of REZ sneaking some shots

The machine that never tires, little Guiseppe keeping everyone awake

Completed wall & mural by BoogieREZ

Two of my scratch paintings alongside a print by REZ

Completed mural inside the Broadway Arts gift shop. Individual sections of the mural were photographed and printed out, each print painted on, signed, framed, and hung in its appropriate place on the wall giving visitors the opportunity to own a slice of this mural for themselves

The show kicked off at 5pm with a live spoken word performance by the Future4 in front of the two huge paintings of Slick Rick & Ghostface (both signed by the rappers themselves) by Boogie

Alongside works by IAM2ND

After the performance the crowd braved the heat and moved out front to the lounge area to listen to the boys of Ramona Lane

While Ramona Lane was playing Boogie did a live painting demonstration for anyone passing by. Kicking some knowledge to our youth along the way

The boundless talents of Kingston NY all came out to bless the mic this evening, young and old. Some of the little ones had a long day, it's been humid as hell, but a sleeping child on his shoulder didnt stop our MC from keeping the show flowing

Kingstons very own Don Maps alongside Ramona Lane frontman Jordan Pacht letting the people know what he's about

Coming up all the way from Brooklyn! Radamiz on the mic headlining our show this evening

Not only did Radamiz absolutely kill it but he brought up a couple of his boys to bless the mic with him

Madwiz here showin how Brooklyn does

The man himself! Broadway Arts owner and artist Joseph LaLima! Always on the move, like 80s porno and the Lochness Monster he's nearly impossible to get a clear photo of but my swift assistant Natalie managed to catch him in the groove live streaming the show for all you internet people who couldnt make it out

A very big thank you to everyone who came out to show support and helped create an incredible atmosphere during an absolutely amazing show! Thank you to the artists IAM2ND, BoogieREZ, Nicholas Bach, Tyler Bouchert, and Whitney Luedtke for showing your work! (and Guiseppe!) Thank you Don the Jeweler and Rob!! Thank you to the Future4, Ramona Lane, Don Mapes, Radamiz, Madwiz, and everyone else who jumped on stage to perform for the people of Kingston!

AND A HUGE THANK YOU TO JOE AND LIZ FOR MAKING THIS ALL HAPPEN!!
